Instructions for conducting (in-person) research at the New London Town Archives:
Register in the visitor log book as you enter the Archives.
Coats, handbags, knapsacks, and briefcases must be left outside the reading area. Food and drink are not permitted. Only pencils, paper, and laptop computers are allowed in the reading area.
Archival material must remain in the reading area. Please keep all materials in the order and folders/boxes in which they are found. Protective sleeves must remain on materials, even when copying. When finished, please leave all materials on the table.
Copying, scanning, and photographing may be done at the discretion of the Archives staff. The New London Archives claims no rights beyond ownership of the materials unless such rights have been explicitly transferred, and it assumes no responsibility for copyrights held by others.
Written permission to publish must be obtained from the copyright owner. If permission is granted, credit should be given as follows: Town Archives, New London, New Hampshire.
