About the image collection.

Among the special collections held at the New London Town Archives are thousands of photographic images donated by both private families and professional photographers. These images give us glimpses of New London's scenery, structures, celebrations, and citizens.

Back in 2008, we began digitizing photographs and certain other materials in our collection so that they might become more accessible to those interested in the visual history of New London. We now have well over 7,000 images in our database—all available to Archives visitors. Here on the web we gather selected images in the form of virtual exhibits for those who can't visit in person. We hope you enjoy them.
